Obituary for Keith E. Vandruff

Keith E. Vandruff, 72, of Washington, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Washington Hospital.

Mr. Vandruff was born on June 8, 1945 in Waynesburg, son of the late Byron D. and Mary M. Matthews Vandruff.

He attended Connelley Vocational High School of Pittsburgh and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving during Vietnam.

After being honorably discharged from the Marines he moved to Florida in 1982, where he worked as a supervising mechanic for the public utility company for 25 years. While living in Florida he enjoyed several outdoor recreational activities including riding his Harley Davidson, boating and driving his Jeep.

Mr. Vandruff moved back to the area eight years ago.

Surviving Mr. Vandruff are, a son Brian Vandruff of Clairton; a sister, Carol (Butch) Nath of Independence Township; two brothers, Dennis (Dorothy) Vandruff of Castle Shannon and Ivan (Pat) Vandruff of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are, two sisters, Teresa Reis and Pamela Wolf.

A private burial will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
